Florida Rampage... lol. Good one. No doubt we are full of injuries (actually second in the NHL in man games lost) but the kids we brought up are the same kids we've been brewing. They all come ready to play. It's nice to know that we have a legit 30+ goal scorer (Huberdeau) and we didn't have to go out and sign or trade for him. Feels weird having actual draft picks perform so well...
With Weiss gone, the door is open for someone else to step up. We are getting quality play from Kopecky, Goc, and Fleischmann right now, with Versteeg nearly ready to play. Add Upshall... maybe, not too sure how I feel about him... and we aren't a bad team. We just have four really balanced lines with a young, fast blueline and a brick wall in net.

One game does not qualify as a turnaround such that we can claim balance among all lines and a wall in net, though physically he is pretty close at 6'6". When I see it become the norm rather than the recent exception then we can revisit.
As for the Jets, they had a few flashes of urgency but overall their effort level was low at least compared to the two other times these teams played. Markstrom made the routine saves and made nearly all the tough ones when they needed to be made.
Regarding penalties I thought the game was pretty clean. Perhaps the same refs that called our last two against Carolina where we had 1 PP chance in two games...
Anyway the Jets will pick back up in Tampa tomorrow.
